Sin is death. We do not negotiate with it and neither does Jesus because in Him there is only light. But what happens when it’s deceived us or the people we love? We see the signs. Flesh takes over and pride begins to blind hearts from reaching out to Jesus with guilt, shame and fear. This is darkness, the darkness Jesus is talking about that disconnects us from our reality and relationship with Him. Through these trials our faith is tested and the good news is NOTHING can separate us from the love of God. Where sin runs deep, God’s grace is more. Reach out to Jesus now! Be free from any sin that binds us, reconnect with Jesus and let Him purify every part of our being to glorify God and the plan He has for your life! 1 John says…

Love for Enemies

But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer the other cheek also. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also. Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back. Do to others as you would like them to do to you. “If you love only those who love you, why should you get credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them! And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much! And if you lend money only to those who can repay you, why should you get credit? Even sinners will lend to other sinners for a full return. “Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.

God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.‬
